    Description

    Geographe Bay, Dunsborough.

The warm tranquil waters of Geographe Bay have created the best swimming beaches in Dunsborough and Busselton. Choose from secluded sheltered coves to long shallow beaches with fine white sand. Take the picturesque tourist drive, regional park walking track or even go by kayak to discover your special spot. Beach accommodation is available in Busselton, Dunsborough and Bunker Bay.

On the west coast, the might and power of the Indian Ocean is incredible to watch. Stretching 120km, this coastline has areas calmed by limestone reefs, lagoons and curving headlands. World famous for its surf, this section of coastline also offers great designated swimming beaches. Scenic lookouts, small coastal towns of Yallingup and Gracetown and tourist resorts are dotted along this coastline and provide beach accommodation.
    Meelup

No visit to the region is complete without a visit to this beautiful beach. Located near Dunsborough, Meelup is also protected by Geographe Bay and its serene waters attract many visitors. The beach provides the perfect setting for a family picnic with plenty of shade in the form of beautiful native trees. Facilities include excellent public change rooms, toilets and showers. There is also a coastal track which winds its way along the coast, allowing an exquisite view of the bay from a multitude of different vantage points.
    Eagle Bay

The opal colours of vivid turquoise water, bright green vegetation and blazing red rocks give way to the dazzling white sandy beach. Facing north, this is one of the best swimming beaches with its sweeping wide beach and shallow calm water. It is also great for kayaking, snorkelling, photography and picnicking with a shady spot near Point Piquet.
    Bunker Bay

Bunker Bay is a calm watered beach where you can swim, fish, paddle out to the surf break that the locals call ‘The Farm’ and snorkelers can check out some fantastic marine life in the bay. Whales are regularly from the shore during spring. At the northern end of the bay there is a walk trail leading to Cape Naturaliste.
